Lake of Fire 03:49
Take a sliver for a short chance of a kiss Never said it wasn't always gonna be like this Take another for a song of sweet regret Raise a glass to all the hunger that ain't found you yet Who are you? What am I supposed to do? Take a measure of the words that get you fed Pull the lever on the hatch when they get spent Take a measure of the words that get them wet Pull the lever on the people that ain't found em yet Lake of Fire Below the Wire Hey, are you looking for a face? Same, and it's getting pretty late But I feel like my mother But I got time And I sound like my father Am I just holding lines?

I Caught The Cull This makeshift device could not withstand their sensor rays It fell apart They took me up above and they put me on a train Just cargo to the gods Moving to the stars To a disappearing land I couldn't understand The silence that surrounds it I Caught The Cull Was branded on the ass and cut my hair in a strange way They dropped me off On a planet of my own all alone to remain And when I bit the dust In this disappearing land Think I'm turning into sand At the wind's command And the silence that surrounds it I Caught The Cull But it looks like they forgot about me On this astral plane There was a bus And when it came along I made for some escape From this disappearing land But I couldn't pay the fare And the driver wasn't nice Maybe the next one will be kind In another thousand years And the silence that surrounds it

We were waiting in the forest fire They gave the order for to open fire and run On the edge of the grassy plane You could see for miles everything Not a man or beast in sight I rubbed my eyes in the morning light As my brothers went ahead I ducked behind a willow bend Must've been half a mile away When I heard someone take a drink and say "Didn't think that they'd really go Pretty sure that they all already know "That the general's gone mad And the whole war is a sham I won't make a rebel yell Just going home before I'm felled" He went on and I held my place You could see every person and their state Everyone was looking tired The general kept screaming for to fire And advance at greater speed As they all forged on ahead Then I heard a rebel yell Someone fired on the general Who completely lost his mind Aimed and fired on the forward line And as ten aimed back at him It was a captain who shot him Threw some dirt upon my face And I shot my foot to prove my place
